The Bellevue Collection is excited to welcome guests for an in-person Lunar New Year celebration as we ring in the Year of the Rabbit. Our Dining District proudly includes some of the region’s finest Asian and Asian-inspired cuisine, and we’ve created this curated guide to help you decide where to eat as you celebrate the new year.
Quick Sips & Bites
Chamei Matcha

Chamei is known for fresh matcha, house-made taiyaki, and sweet soft-serve ice cream, and their café is the perfect spot to sit and chat with a drink. Take a shopping break or grab a latte to-go – their beverages and snacks are sure to please.
Located: On the first floor of Bellevue Square, near Macy’s and next to Made In Washington
Must-Try Dish: The Chamei Soft Serve comes in a cup, cone, or – most importantly – a taiyaki fish. Yes, you can build a cone from the fish up, with the option to add filling (Nutella, anyone?), ice cream flavors like ube, chocolate or hojicha, and sweet candy toppings.

ICE MONSTER

The first ICE MONSTER in the mainland United States joined The Collection in late 2022, and they’ve been serving mind-bogglingly large bowls of Taiwanese-style shaved ice to happy customers ever since. The Bellevue location has a vast menu, with unique offerings like sorbet, boba tea, and even something called “dessert soup.”

Must-Try Dish: The Unicorn Sensation is a limited-edition mountain of Calpico and dragonfruit-flavored shaved ice, fresh cream and caramelized tapioca.

A jianbing is a protein-filled crêpe popularized by Chinese street vendors. Me + Crêpe allows guests to customize their jianbing with multiple meat and vegetable options, rolling them up into a snack that’s as handy in Bellevue as it is in Beijing. Mi Tea serves fabulous boba, but they’re best known for Himalayan pink salted cheese tea. Their menu offers a variety of Chinese-style tea drinks with tapioca, fruit and more. You can even rent a phone charging station while you enjoy your beverage, making it the perfect spot to pause and relax amid a day of shopping.

Lunar New Year at The Bellevue Collection
