Your Guide to Snowflake Lane
Tips and Tricks for a Memorable Night
The Bellevue Collection is proud to present Snowflake Lane every night from Black Friday to Christmas Eve, from NE 4th to NE 8th Streets along Bellevue Way. Each night, the street comes to life with toy drummers, colorful floats, dancers and even Santa Claus himself, celebrating the holiday season with a completely free parade that includes nightly snowfall. Whether you’ve attended every year, or this will be your first, these are our tips for making the most of your night on Snowflake Lane.
Arrive Early
We highly recommend arriving to Snowflake Lane as early as possible, as the street begins to shut down to cars between 6:30 and 7 pm. Spectators begin lining the sidewalks as early as 6 pm, sometimes even earlier, depending on the time of the season. Thanksgiving weekend and the last week before Christmas are typically our busiest, with mid-season weekdays being the lightest. The parade begins nightly at 7 pm.
Bundle Up
Waiting for the parade to start can be a chilly business, so make sure you dress in layers. In case you forget, or feel underdressed on the day, Bellevue Square’s nearby stores including Escape Outdoors, Marine Layer and Macy’s can help you warm up with gloves, hats and scarves.
Take A Photo
This holiday season, make an appointment to see Santa or take your picture with the decorated tree in Bellevue Square. While you’re there, stop by the interactive screen to play with our Season of Celebrations activations.
Stop by the Bellevue Place Wintergarden to take a picture at the Snowflake Lane selfie station every night. November 29 through December 21 on Wednesdays and Thursdays enjoy a meet and greet with some of your favorite Snowflake Lane characters from 5:30pm – 6:30pm.
Grab a Treat
This year, there are multiple options for pre-show treats around The Collection. Every night from 5 – 7:30 pm, Yardbird provides complimentary cocoa and cider at their Bellevue Place store. Friday and Saturday nights between 6:30 – 7:30 pm, Central Bar + Restaurant will have cocoa, beignets and more available to purchase from their mobile bar. Visit Trophy Cupcakes on the second level of Bellevue Square to purchase sweet treats like Holly Jolly Cocoa Cupcakes.
Make A Reservation
Make dinner plans ahead of time with a reservation in The Dining District. Some visitors prefer an early meal, while others make their reservations for immediately after the parade ends (the parade is over by 7:30, but it may be advantageous to give yourself time to get from the street to the restaurant). Consider one of these restaurants along the parade route*:
- Cactus
- Cantina Monarca
- Castilla Restaurant & Tapas Bar
- The Cheesecake Factory
- Duke’s Seafood
- Earls Kitchen + Bar
- Farzi Café
- Fogo de Chão
- Forum Social House
- STK Steakhouse
- Tavern Hall
- Water Grill
- Wild Ginger
*Not all of these restaurants have a view of the parade, and clear line of sight is not guaranteed. Inquire with each individual restaurant about visibility when reserving your table.
