The Bellevue Collection's Lunar New Year Dining Guide

Our Dining District proudly includes some of the region’s finest Asian and Asian-inspired cuisine, and we’ve created this curated guide to help you decide where to eat as you celebrate the new year.

Chamei MatchaChamei Matcha

$

Chamei is known for fresh matcha, house-made taiyaki, and sweet soft-serve ice cream, and their café is the perfect spot to sit and chat with a drink. Take a shopping break or grab a latte to-go – their beverages and snacks are sure to please.

Located: On the first floor of Bellevue Square, near Macy’s and next to Made In Washington

Must-Try Dish: The Chamei Soft Serve comes in a cup, cone, or – most importantly – a taiyaki fish. Yes, you can build a cone from the fish up, with the option to add filling (Nutella, anyone?), ice cream flavors like ube, chocolate or hojicha, and sweet candy toppings.


Drip TeaDrip Tea

Drip Tea is a bubble tea café offering high-quality drinks with street/fashion-derived namesakes. The café’s high-quality ingredients and cultural references make for a unique and standout experience. They offer boba, Vietnamese coffee, fruit tea and more.

Located: In the Lincoln South Food Hall, next to Seoul Bowl

Must-Try Dish: The Heart Eyes is a layered tea made with matcha, strawberry milk and strawberry bits for a sweet and nostalgic treat.

 

EatDirt

EatDirt is the first brick-and-mortar location of the EatDirt fresh produce delivery service, with sandwiches inspired by a variety of cuisines including Korean and South Asian flavors. Their sandwiches are hearty, made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor — a perfect lunch or dinner on-the-go.

Located: In the Lincoln South Food Hall, next to Club Seltzer

Must-Try Dish: The Belly sandwich is EatDirt’s take on a bánh mì, made with succulent pork belly, house-pickled slaw, fresh cucumber and jalapenos and hard-boiled egg. It’s somehow savory, spicy and a little sweet all at once, and you can switch out the protein for chicken or tofu if desired.

 

Happy LemonHappy Lemon Bellevue

Happy Lemon serves authentic Taiwanese bubble tea, made with premium tea leaves and locally sourced fresh fruit. Their offerings range from milk tea with boba, to freshly squeezed lemon tea, to tasty and freshly made bubble waffles.

Located: On the first floor of Bellevue Square, across from Escape Outdoors and Camper

Must-Try Dish: The Original Bubble Waffle is a delicious handheld snack, made even better with the rock salt crema dip.

Kizuki Ramen & IzakayaKizuku Ramen Bellevue Square

Kizuki Ramen’s philosophy is to serve the most traditional, authentic and delicious Japanese ramen you can possibly have without actually flying to Japan. Peruse their wide variety of customizable ramen, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, plus a delicious izakaya menu with favorites like tonkatsu, chicken karaage and onigiri.

Located: On the second level of Bellevue Square, next to Athleta

Must-Try Dish: The Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen is a favorite for a reason — we recommend adding the pork belly.

 

KODE PIZZAKODE PIZZA

KODE PIZZA is a celebration of Detroit-style pizza infused with Korean-inspired flavors and toppings. The menu features a variety of bold, tangy sauces like spicy gochujang and savory bulgogi with toppings ranging from marinated spicy chicken to fresh kimchi and crispy seaweed.

Located: In the Lincoln South Food Hall, next to Nordstrom Rack

Must-Try Dish: The Build-Your-Own Custom Pie allows you to choose four separate slices in different flavors, so you can try new things or mix up your own combination of preferred tastes. Getting one slice of each available flavor is a must, but you have to be quick — they sell out fast!

Me + CrêpeMe+Crepe

A jianbing is a protein-filled crêpe popularized by Chinese street vendors. Me + Crêpe allows guests to customize their crêpe with multiple meat and vegetable options, rolling them up into a snack that’s as handy in Bellevue as it is in Beijing. They also offer an ice cream and berry version for a sweet treat.

Located: On the second level of Bellevue Square, next to Lady M Cake Boutique

Must-Try Dish: The Peking Duck jianbing is sweet, saucy, and seasoned to your preferred spice level. It’s a wholesome and tasty pick-me-up.

MIX Sushi Bar serves a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri, inari and bowls.

Located: In the Lincoln South Food Hall, next to Midnight Cookie Co.

Must-Try Dish: The seared salmon sushi is a highly regarded favorite, with the seared tamago (Japanese omelet) coming in at a close second. You can order them separately, or try them together in the Mosaic roll.

 

Seoul BowlSeoul Bowl

Seoul Bowl was created with the wish to bring the flavors of South Korean street food to Seattle. While best known for their build-your-own KBBQ bowls, their menu has expanded to include the “Seoulritto” (a Korean BBQ burrito), Korean fried chicken, fried chicken sandwiches, wings, and unique sides.

Located: In the Lincoln South Food Hall, next to Great State Burger & King Leroy

Must-Try Dish: The bulgogi kimchi fries are made with beef, cheese and housemade kimchi for a tangy, crispy side — or entree.

What the Pho Bellevue SquareWhat The Pho

While they’re best known for their pho (and they do offer around a dozen varieties), What The Pho’s menu goes beyond soup. Stop in for a hearty rice bowl, a savory banh mi on perfectly toasted bread, or an order of fried dumplings. Their tasty offerings are the perfect way to warm up on a cold winter’s day.

Must-Try Dish: The Pho Steak is a classic, but vegetarians love the Pho Tofu & Veg, which includes a flavorful and entirely meat-free combination of green and white onions, cabbage, broccoli, cilantro, carrots and more.

Baron’s Sino Kitchen & Bar

Baron’s is an extension of China’s renowned Barony Hotels & Resorts, a brand famous for luxury, taste, and exceptional quality. Founded in 1958 in Taipei, Taiwan as an oil shop, then a restaurant in 1972, Din Tai Fung has become synonymous with soup dumplings and noodles. Their new location on the first level of Lincoln Square North is not only bigger than ever, but also designed to accommodate groups for delicious, family-style dining.

Must-Try Dish: The Kurobuta pork xiao long bao is the most popular dish, but we highly recommend trying the version that includes crab for a tasty twist.

This family restaurant comes from the same family that brought Seattle such classic restaurants as Thai Kitchen and Thai Tom, and the food is befitting from local restaurant royalty. The luxury New York City confectionery is famous for their signature mille crêpes, which use French technique and “Japanese sensibilities” to create light, fluffy and decadent desserts. The cakes are made of layers of soft cream and lacy French crêpes, and available in flavors like chocolate, green tea, marron and tiramisu. They also offer seasonal treats, including rotating flavors and confections. Buy your cake by the slice or take a whole one home to share.

Must-Try Dish: The Signature Mille Crêpe is scrumptious in its simplicity, with more than twenty handcrafted crêpes layered with pastry cream. The result is an irresistible, lighter-than-air slice.

Mochinut Mochinut Donuts

Mochinut is known for its mochi donuts, a Hawaiian creation that blends American donuts and Japanese mochi into a delicious, sweet treat — but they don’t stop there. Mochinut’s menu includes a rotating cast of seasonal flavors that change from week to week, as well as coveted Korean Rice Dogs, famous for their soft, fluffy outside and cheesy mozzarella center. Based in Hokkaido, Japan, ROYCE’ is famous for their high-quality chocolate and inventive confections. Popular flavors include matcha (both ceremonial and roasted hojicha), whiskey or champagne chocolates, and a variety of fruits and nuts.
